MUMBAI: Smilie Suri who is best known for her film Kalyug opened up about her OTT debut with House Of Flies and her comeback exclusively to TellyChakkar in an interview. The stunning actress said, "We were in COVID. I got an offer to do OTT and I was dying to do it, so I just grabbed the offer. I like my role a lot as it is different and a good comeback to do. It is simple but my role was very different so I jumped at it. We were shooting in COVID, protocols were followed and it was a good opportunity. I always wanted to do OTT because I always watch it, not that I do not watch the cinema. OTT you get to live a lot of characters that you can play. There is so much happening, so much work. There are complex, grey characters, it is not just black and white".
The actress further opened up on being addressed as the Kalyug girl and on taking a break from the entertainment industry. "I did not leave it, didn't get work as such. Getting a film on par with Kalyug was very difficult. My brother was busy making films with my other brother Emraan Hashmi. I did a film called Ye Mera Hai India which was a good film, but it did not do well. I did Crook, some theatre, TV nothing like Kalyug came you know. I didn't know how to make the right choices. I would blame it a lot on destiny. When the time is right things happen. People yet call me Jiya Dhadak Dhadak wali gayi. They do not know my name".
