MUMBAI: Indian film actress and philanthropist Raveena Tandon has been lauded with a Bravery Award for her courageous rescue of a driver in a recent Bandra incident. Her swift response and empathy left a profound mark, highlighting her as a genuine humanitarian. The accolade, presented by the Municipal Commissioner and Bhamla Foundation, underscores Raveena's unwavering commitment to aiding those in distress, reaffirming her as a beacon of compassion in the community.

Talented actress Raveena Tandon took her social media and shared a post, "Honoured for this recognition🙏In the world of sensationalism, Truth Prevails. I would like to thank @my_bmc #bhushangagrani #nadirgodrej @bhamlafoundation @saherbhamla"

Raveena Tandon is not only a celebrated actress but also an environmentalist and a wildlife photographer. She is a mother of four children, two adopted and two biological. Her decision to adopt at the age of 21, becoming a single mother in a country where both actions were considered taboo, was groundbreaking. Raveena has served as the youngest chairperson for the Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) and has been part of the advisory panel of the Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA). Prime Minister Modi has praised her efforts in promoting organ donation.

Her Rudra Foundation has done commendable work for children, women, and animal welfare. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when oxygen was scarce, her foundation partnered with DCP South to deliver truckloads of oxygen cylinders to those in need. These efforts extended to the Radha Soami Satsang Beas, the Army hospital in Delhi, and to lawyers and legal journalists in Delhi NCR via the Supreme Court Bar Association. As the Wildlife Goodwill Ambassador of Maharashtra, Raveena is also the first participant from the entertainment industry to be a delegate at the W20.

Her journey is one worthy of emulation and honor, continuing to inspire women across the world.
