MUMBAI: In the South Indian cinema industry, Arjun Sarja is a well-known figure. The 61-year-old actor has acted in several well-known Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films.
In 1988, he got married to the actress Niveditha Arjun, and the couple was gifted with two children, Aishwarya and Anjana. Recently, Arjun's elder daughter, Aishwarya, who made her film debut in 2013 with Pattathu Yaanai, tied the knot in a traditional ceremony.

Aishwarya, the daughter of the South Indian celebrity, got married to Umpathy Ramaiah, an actor and the well-known supporting actor Thambi Ramaiah's son. On June 10, 2024, the pair wed in front of their loved ones at a Hanuman temple that the actress's father had constructed near Chennai.
The following day, June 11, 2024, Aishwarya, the newlywed, and her husband Umpathy posted some of the most cherished moments from their wedding with their followers on Instagram, letting their followers participate in their happiness.
For her special day, the bride chose a stunning red-hued kanjivaram saree, intricately woven with golden threadwork. She paired the saree with a heavily embellished blouse in the same hue. Aishwarya's bridal ensemble was completed with a selection of traditional jewellery, including a choker, a long necklace, a matha patti, a pair of earrings, hair accessories, and bangles.
Her makeup was elegantly done, and her hair was beautifully tied. Umpathy, on the other hand, looked dashing in white traditional attire, perfectly complementing his radiant bride.
The couple could be seen smiling broadly during the wedding ceremonies in the photos that were posted to social media. Umapathy and Aishwarya also had a fun moment exchanging garlands.
Inside the temple where the wedding ceremony was held, the newlyweds also posed for some duet photos. Aishwarya posted the photos with a simple statement that included their wedding date, an evil eye, and a sparkling emoji.
Aishwarya reportedly met Umpathy in 2021 while competing in the reality television show Survivor Tamil, according to many media reports. On the sets, they grew close.
Many well-known figures from the South Indian cinema industry, such as Samuthirakani, KS Ravikumar, Vijayakumar, and many others, attended Aishwarya and Umapathy wedding ceremony. In the meantime, on June 14, 2024, the newlyweds will throw a reception in a five-star hotel.
