MUMBAI : South Indian cinema has now evolved into pan-India movies due to which the Hindi movie audience has also been enjoying all the movies. In the past we have seen many movies like Baahubali, Leo, Vikram, Saaho, Pushpa: The Rise and many more movies.
The craze for South Indian movies has reached to such a level that even if the releases aren’t Pan-Indian, the Hindi audience is still very much interested in watching these movies in theatres.
Earlier, the audience got really excited after the announcement of Maharaja. The first glimpse of the movie was a treat to all the Vijay Sethupathi fans.
The movie released on Friday, 15th June and this is the 50th film of Vijay Sethupathi. On the opening day, Maharaja earned around Rs 6 Cr worldwide while also receiving great praises from the audience.
The audience fell in love with the actor’s performance as well as the story. Any movie collections are effected majorly on weekends and public holidays. Therefore, we are here with Maharaja’s collection for Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the movie collected around Rs 7.75 Cr in India and this includes all languages. The worldwide collection that day was around Rs 17.3 Cr which was a great boost when compared to the opening day collection.
On Sunday, the movie collected around Rs 9.40 Cr in India, including all languages. The worldwide collection on day 3 was around Rs 28.5 Cr. This was also a great boost and showed how much the audience are in love with the movie.
