MUMBAI : At last, Shakti Arora has said goodbye to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. His exit was officially announced after a few weeks of speculation. Avid viewers became devastated when word of his departure went viral online.
Bhavika Sharma continued as the main female character, but Shakti left. The makers of "Ishaan and Savi's Story" thought that there was nothing more to explore, therefore they decided to take the risk. They decided to kill Ishaan and leave Savi as his widow as a result.
Shakti left the serial as the production house bumped his character from the show. The decision invited fan backlash and the audience threatened to boycott the show.
Several actors have joined GHKPM after the 'time jump' was introduced. From Ankit Arora to Kaveri Priyam, prominent names have been locked for the serial. Choti Sarrdaarni fame Hitesh Bharadwaj has been finalised as the new male lead. The Udaariyaan actor has replaced Shakti Arora as the new hero of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. He was selected as he fit the role of Rajat perfectly.
Earlier a source told the popular news portal, "Hitesh Bharadwaj fits the bill perfectly for the role that we have envisioned. He will take over the charge from Shakti Arora. Hitesh and Bhavika looked compatible in the promo that we shot and their chemistry was also scorching. We are hopeful GHKPM will rise to new heights after the seven-year leap."

The makers acknowledged the stunning actor's involvement in the show and praised him for his effort in an acknowledgment letter. According to a report in the popular news portal, the production company indicated their willingness to collaborate with the actor again and was full of appreciation for him.
