Anurag revealed, “Yes, I have gone to jail. I slapped the wrong person. Somebody you are not supposed to hit. I was in jail for a night. The man who put me in the lock up is the same guy who changed my life completely. He was the one who brought me out.”
In an Unfiltered conversation with Samdish from last year, the director talked about his detention for intoxication in Saudi Arabia while promoting his movie Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.
Anuraj revealed, “There were no flights from Denmark due to volcanic ash. I was very exhausted and I had wine and I went, took the ticket and I had to wait five hours. I went to the lounge and started drinking because I wanted to pass out. I sat in the flight and I passed out. I landed in Saudi, they arrested me because I walked on the land of Saudi totally drunk. They started questioning me.”
In addition to Bad Cop, Anurag Kashyap starred with Vijay Sethupathi in the Tamil film Maharaj.
