I love watching DID Super Moms, India’s Dancing Superstar, Comedy Nights with Kapil, Sanskaar and Taarak Mehta: Jay Soni

So occupied are our TV stars in their hectic working schedules that they hardly get time for anything else. But when they do, they turn on their TV sets and enjoy serials. Wanting to know of what kind of TV shows he likes and what he watches, we talked to the ever cute Jay Soni (current lead actor in Colors’ Sanskaar) about his favourite dose on small screen. Excerpts: After a hard day’s work, which channel do you usually watch? When I reach home, I am too tired and just go about surfing channels. But I do like to watch some good movies on TV before hitting the bed. What are the shows that you are currently watching on TV? Currently, I watch DID Super Moms (Zee TV), India’s Dancing Superstar (Star Plus) and Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors). As a matter of fact, I am really hooked up to dance shows and I feel that the talent we have today is just mind boggling. I know what suffering from a muscle pull is. For me, it has been a painful experience since I can’t dance these days. Fiction shows that catch your attention? In this genre, I watch Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon Ki, which to me is the best show on TV today (laughs). Apart from that, I also watch Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah sometimes. What impresses you the most? For me, talent and performances stand high on the list. But we hardly get to see a mix of these on TV these days. More natural is the act, the more it gets impressive. Personality you like on TV? I am really impressed with Ashley Lobo, the judge of India’s Dancing Superstar for he knows how to keep his word across sweetly. I feel a judge should never be brash because it de-motivates the contestants. He is very fair yet sweet. I even find Marzi (DID Super Moms) to be a cool judge.
