MUMBAI: Murder in Mahim is the newest web series that has hit OTT. The thriller web series starring Ashutosh Rana and Vijay Raaz is available to watch on JioCinema. It released on May 10 and it has already started gaining attention.

Murder In Mahim is a gripping investigative/psychological thriller based on the book penned by Jerry Pinto. Vijay Raaz plays the role of Inspector Jende who is tasked to investigate a horrible murder that takes place at Mahim station. Talking about the series, Vijay Raaz feels that OTT platforms are quite a boon for such web series to thrive and reach the bigger audience.

To BollywoodLife, Vijay Raaz states that OTT platforms serve as a medium for long and interesting stories to reach and entertain the masses. He also spoke about the equation shared by cops and journalists, and how it can be useful in solving cases. He quotes, "Murder in Mahim is adapted from Jerry Pinto’s book of the same name, shows how important OTT platforms are for bringing such stories to us. Without them, we might miss out on these interesting, longer stories. The series also highlights how police and journalists working together can solve cases well. In interviews, I've talked about how OTT platforms change storytelling. They let stories go beyond the usual and develop characters in new ways. ‘Murder in Mahim’ is a great example, showing characters growing in depth and complexity thanks to OTT platforms."

In Murder in Mahim, Ashutosh Rana plays a retired journalist who also becomes a part of the investigation of the murder case. The edge-of-the-seat suspense thriller web series does seem to have a lot of potential given that two stalwarts are a part of it. Murder in Mahim is directed by Raj Acharya and created by Tipping Point Films.
