MUMBAI: Hunar Gandhi needs no introduction. Currently seen in Dangal TV’s Deewani, Hunar is overwhelmed as the production house Shakuntalam Telefilms is like her second home.

TellyChakkar engaged in an exclusive conversation with the actress to know her viewpoint on actors going through non-payment of dues. There have been incidents in the recent past where Krishna Mukherjee was locked in her vanity room and was not paid her dues on time and another incident where the actor had to finally bring facts to limelight as he was not paid. Hunar said, “By the grace of God I have never faced such a scenario and I am sure this must be a horrific incident as they work so hard and then go through such a terrible phase. I have worked with good production houses and writers and fortunately it has never happened to me.”

There was also a time when there were reports about Balaji Telefilms treating actors very badly and even delaying payments. Hunar shared, “I had worked with Balaji Telefilms in the year 2007 when I was new in the industry. My wage that time was Rs. 5000 per day and I received it on time. I also worked more with the Balaji camp for a few more projects.I worked with Raj Singh Arora and Pooja Gor among others in Koi Aane Ko Hai and we spent so much time on the sets together but it never occurred to us that we are being made to overwork.

So I do not understand this being said.” (Also Read: Bigg Boss OTT Season 3: Lovekesh Kataria enters the house speaks about Elvish’s controversial fight)
