MUMBAI : Rohman Shawl has been transparent regarding his relationship with Sushmita Sen. There are rumors that the two, who were once romantically involved, are dating again. However, Rohman recently claimed that they have a "special bond" and are "good friends" in an interview with the popular news portal.
When inquired about his most recent appearances alongside Sushmita, Roman responded, “Voh toh 6 saal se saath mein hai. Isme naya kya hai? (We are together for six years. What’s new to this?)” “We have always been friends and that will always continue. We share something special and that is visible also,” he added.
It's interesting that this happened a few days after Sushmita Sen admitted her single status during an appearance on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast.
“I have no man in my life. I’ve been single for a while. It has been almost two years since I have been single, to be precise since 2021… I am not in a relationship. I have some incredibly wonderful people in my life who are my friends and they are all just waiting for a moment for me to call them and say, ‘Look, I’m pulling the car out, get in the backseat. We’re driving to Goa’,” she said, as quoted by the popular news portal.
The former Miss Universe said that she’s taking a break from dating and enjoying it. “I am not even interested in anyone at the moment. It is lovely to take a break because I was in a relationship for almost five years. And that was a long time,” she added.
Sushmita had met Rohman through social media and dated for a long period. However, the couple broke up in December 2021.
The actress had previously disclosed to a well-known news source that she was dating someone with a fifteen-year age gap, “I didn’t know that he would turn out to be a very evolved person for someone 15 years younger. Shallows don’t work for me, it has to have depth. It has been beautiful. Me, him, my kids, we make a team.”
Sushmita Sen, meanwhile, last appeared in the final season of her hugely popular show Aarya 3. In February 2023, the criminal drama, directed by Ram Madhvani, debuted on Disney+ Hotstar.
