MUMBAI: Janhvi Kapoor is promoting Ulajh, a film by Sudhanshu Saria, fiercely. She is currently getting ready for her next film, Ulajh, after receiving excellent feedback for her performance in Sharan Sharma's Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, in which she starred alongside Rajkummar Rao.
Several less commercial productions, including Ulajh, Mili, and Goodluck Jerry, can be found across Janhvi's career graph. She stated in a recent interview that she was more fulfilled by these initiatives than by going the "easier" way and working on a major motion picture.

Janhvi said while speaking to the popular news portal, “Main bohot hi asaan journey chunn sakti thi. Main iss film ki jagah ya mere pichle kuch filmon ki jagah, main badi commercial films kar sakti thi jahan glamour hota, bohot asaani se reach milta, popularity ho jaata, box office ka number guaranteed hota. Voh bohot asaan journey hai. Usme success rate almost guaranteed hai. Isme bohot risk hai (I could have chosen a very easy journey. Instead of the projects I’ve done, I could’ve done a big commercial film with a glamourous role, easy reach, guaranteed popularity and box office numbers).”
“So I know it’s a longer game, it’s a tougher game. I know that realistically if we’re looking at the box office, there have been more misses than hits because of the nature of the high-risk films I’ve chosen. But I feel that my growth as an artist has been more gratifying than it would’ve been had I picked the easier route,” she added.
As for Ulajh, Janhvi Kapoor portrays Suhana, a young diplomat embroiled in a treacherous personal conspiracy during her crucial assignment at the London embassy. As she navigates the complexities of her career-defining role, she finds herself entangled in the weight of her legacy and in a web of deception, where every ally could be a foe.
As Ulajh tells the fascinating story of traps, conspiracies, and betrayals, viewers can anticipate thrilling scenes and suspenseful drama. The film promises to be a cinematic experience unlike any other, thanks to its fascinating storyline and exceptional actors.
