Sunny Deol opens up on an emotional scene that was deleted from the film Border; Says 'Whenever I read it, I cried’

MUMBAI: Among the greatest patriotic films is the 1997 film Border. Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and many more actors feature in JP Dutta's film. The Battle of Longewala in 1971 served as inspiration for the events of the unique, which took place during the Indo-Pakistani War.

Dutta's film was well-received and went on to become one of the year's biggest hits. Every element, including the tale, acting, and music, astounded the audience.

27 years after the film's premiere, Sunny Deol has revealed something fascinating about it. The Gadar 2 actor disclosed in an interview that there was a moment that was cut out of the final film. In a now-deleted interview, Deol discussed the scenario in greater length as well as how it affected him emotionally with Ranveer Brar.

Sunny Deol disclosed that he visits a temple with a glowing light at the end of the Border film. He sees every soldier who gave their lives seated there when he gets closer. Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri, Sunny's persona, tells each of them that he has accomplished the goals or desires they had.

The Darr actor said, "I tell them that the roof of your house has been repaired. You don't worry; everything that you wanted has been done. The world in which you are in that heaven, there is no war there.”

Sunny Deol further revealed that whenever he used to read that scene, he used to cry. He called it a lovely scene. A clip from the interview has gone viral on Instagram. Fans in the comments expressed their desire for Border 2 to incorporate the scene.

One person wrote, "Firse aaye border 2 aur ye seen se picture ki survat ho". Another fan commented, "RERELEASE this movie WITH THIS SCENE!!!!”

In the meantime, Sunny Deol announced in June that he will be working with Border 2, which would be directed by Anurag Singh.

The actor shared an announcement video and captioned it, "Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta will be directed by Anurag Singh." Still, It is unknown who else will star alongside Sunny in the film.

Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947 is another project the actor is working on. In addition to Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol, the film is produced by Aamir Khan.
