MUMBAI: Star Plus has ventured into unexplored territory. Star Plus has arrived with its new show, Maati Se Bandhi Dor, starring Rutuja Bagwe and Ankit Gupta in lead roles.
The show traces the story of a hard-working Vaiju who labours in the fields to support her family and village, but she finds her life facing an unexpected challenge when Rannvijay dismisses her as a potential wife as he is in love with her sister Jaya.

The show narrates how Vaiju is a happy go lucky person and Rannvijay who visits the village gets entwined into situations that he has to get married to Vaiju forcefully. He is in love with Jaya and is married to her now and Vaiju is quiet as she wants the best of health and bliss for her sister.
Maati Se Bandi Dor showcases how Rannvijay is always accusing Vaiju of doing the things she has not and she is silent. Somewhere down the line, fans of the show feel that if not for her marriage with Rannvijay, she can atleast stand up for herself and call spade a spade.
Another thing Vaiju, who is so caring, is mature and sacrificing, cannot think that not telling Jaya that she will be the second woman in Rannvijay’s life is the worst thing she could do to her!
Many of them even compare this plot to that of Imlie on Star Plus which featured Sumbul Touqeer and Gashmeer Mahajani and say that the show is going the Imlie way as in the show, Imlie also got married to Gashmeer in similar circumstances and he married Malini too!
