In our exclusive interview with Armaan Malik for the release of his new song, Tera Main Intezaar, the highly talented and versatile singer opened up on how he reacts when compare him to Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Manna Day, or Kumar Sanu, and what could be the reason behind it.
Armaan Malik said, “I feel so happy that I’m able to be that kind of an artist where people and love me so much meri ek hi khwahish thi bachpan se that main jab bhi kuch bhi gaoon, logo ko aisa lagna chahiye ke yaar ye singing se bohot pyaar karta hai. It should never feel like I’m faking it. I’m not talking about lip-syncing and all that. Lip-syncing ka faking is different. Sometimes when they are singing live also they’re not feeling the emotions, they’re not feeling the songs toh you can very much figure that out. I think that mere saath kya hua hai, I think it’s a blessing from my granddad and from god that when I sing a song, I really mean it and I really love singing, I love music toh woh logo tak pohochti hai. And me as a person is a very honest and true person so I think the vessel through which the song goes through the other person seedha it goes to the heart and the soul. There’s no filteration in between, there’s no adulteration. I think that must be the reason as to why people feel this way about me. Other than that I think I’m just working hard to be a better singer everyday.”
