This occurred days after it was revealed that Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was the target of a non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued by a special court in Mumbai. In addition, a second warrant was issued for the arrest of Rohit Godera, a suspected member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Anmol and Rohit have been absconding ever since the Mumbai police named them in the charge sheet related to the case. Considering the same, special judge for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases, B D Shelke issued a standing non-bailable warrant against Anmol and Godera on July 27, 2024.

Before the shooters fired at the home of the Bollywood star, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, reportedly gave a nine-minute "motivational" speech to the shooters.

Reportedly, the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai police’s crime branch mentioned that Anmol Bishnoi had told the two shooters – Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal that they should do the work “well” because it will “script history”. “Do this work well. After the work is completed, you guys will script history,” according to the 1,735-page chargesheet that NDTV was able to see, he told the shooters.

“Do not be afraid at all while doing this work. Doing this work means bringing a change in the society,” Anmol Bishnoi added. The audio message conveyed the speech, and the shooters were asked to “fire shots in such a manner that it scares Salman Khan”. And for them to appear fearless, they were also advised to smoke cigarettes and not to wear helmets.

Gunshots were fired in the Bandra area of Mumbai in April of this year, outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments. Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of the gangster, posted on Facebook, claiming responsibility for the shooting event, leading to reports later that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is suspected of being behind the attack.

Salman Khan's security was increased following the shocking incident.
