Raj Kundra took a test drive of his new car, which was captured on camera and uploaded by the popular news portal. Later on, he could be seen driving the slick new car to his Juhu bungalow.

Casually dressed in blue track trousers and a grey t-shirt, Kundra stepped from the car and looked back at the photographers, but he did not say anything. His son Viaan, who went with him on the trip, was also shown in the video.

This extravagant purchase comes on the heels of serious legal troubles for Kundra and Shetty. In April of this year, the ED attached properties valued at Rs 97.79 crore belonging to the couple under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA). The properties, which include flats in Mumbai and Pune, were seized as part of an investigation into a bitcoin fraud case that dates back to 2017.

Raj Kundra and others are accused by the ED of collecting money from the public of enormous sums totaling Rs 6,600 crore by offering 10% monthly returns in bitcoins.

After the property was seized, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty released a statement together via their attorney indicating that they would be willing to help the authorities. They declared, “We have complete faith in the Honourable Judiciary,” adding that they would support the probe and hope for a fair resolution.
