MUMBAI: Anupamaa is one of the most loved shows on Star Plus.
The show features Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna in the leading roles along with Sudhanshu Pandey. The three play the roles of Anupamaa, Anuj Kapadia and Vanraj Shah respectively. The show is high on drama and Vanraj and Anupamaa have become grandparents. However, the makers haven’t paid much attention to the character detailing as Anupamaa, Anuj and Vanraj look as they were when they were introduced in the show. They haven’t aged at all in the show.
The viewers claim that people do colour their hair but the other factors could have been taken into account.
Vandana Sharma shared, “Have you ever seen Parvati from Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii as a great grandparent or Prerna from Kasautii Zindagii Kay? By that logic Anupama still looks fine.”
Vrinda Menon said, “Indian television serials never focus on the ageing of characters. Manish and Swarna Goenka from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are also not developed as per the age.”
Romesh Sejpal mentioned, “They even became great grandmas and looked exactly the same, they probably looked older before than after. “
Kanchan Patel expressed, “ I still remember, after the leap in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, where Prerna became the head of Gurukul, she was finally shown with some white hair, but that changed all of a sudden when new Anurag and Bajaj returned.”
Kinjal Gandhi elaborated, “In the beginning they’ll put some effort into making the characters look older and then as time passes they stop caring and they go back to looking like their old selves.” (Also Read: Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Madalsa Sharma, Jennifer Winget and others who replaced other talents and shot to massive fame!)
