Shaan Mishra is one dynamic actor who has his hands full and is exploring all the mediums being offered to him. Afterall, a medium does not matter when you are passionate about displaying your talent!
Shaan is a well know actor in the television industry and he is best known for his roles in serials like Imlie 2, Sindoor Ki Kimat 2, Arjun Pandit, Lovepantii etc. He is currently seen in Maati Se Bandhi Dor which features Rutuja Bagwe and Ankit Gupta.
Now Shaan has bagged a film which is a biopic titled Direct Action Day - 1947. He will play the leading actor in the film which is about the partition of India and Pakistan.
The film will narrate the story of the time when the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, MD Jinna wanted to make Kolkata (Calcutta) a part of Pakistan. He announced Direct Action Day - 1946.
It was a day when the All-India Muslim League decided to take a "direct action" using violence to intimidate non-muslims and their leadership for a separate Muslim homeland after the British exit from India. Also known as the 1946 Calcutta Killings, it was a day of nationwide communal riots.
