MUMBAI: Ranvir Shorey is a well known actor in the entertainment industry and a former video jockey.
He ventured into the world of Cinema with his debut movie Ek Chhotisi Love Story starring Manisha Koirala and Aditya Seal.
The actor has been part of both mainstream and independent cinema.
His few movies that was a commercial hit was Jism, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger 3 etc whereas his critically acclaimed movies were Traffic Signal, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Mithya etc.
He has also participated in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and also hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Recently, he made headlines for his participation in the relaity show Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 where he emerged as the second runner up of the show.
He was known for his friendship with Armaan and Sai Ketan Rao and his enmity with Sana Makbul grabbed eyeballs inside and outside of the house.
In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar the actor revealed the reason why he signed the reality show Bigg Boss.
The actor said 'I went into Bigg Boss because I did not have work once you finish shooting a project qan actor doesn't have much to do. So Sunflower 2 which was my last release and was launched in March it was shot a year ago and post that I finished my shoot for my last project which was in March 2024 and after that I didn't have work April, May, June I kept waiting and didn't have an offer for the rest of the year also the only offer I had was two reality shows and chose one of them to do'
He further said 'I did reality shows earlier like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Hosted Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. My career in entertainment and media has been quite diverse, have been a VJ and presenter, a song writer and much more. I have hosted different kind of shows be it on politics, music shows, interview or comedy based shows'
The Tiger 3 actor ended by saying; ' I did Bigg Boss at a time when I didn't have any offer which I feel is a fair game and a small thing. In the house anything you talk is blown out of proportion, I spoke about wining and the prize money so the topic of discussion that I don't have work and I need money began. I have seen worst circumstances than this, I have been at home for two- three years and in worst conditions and for ten years they have been offering me Bigg Boss and I declined it and when I felt it was the right time I did it'
Well, the moment Ranvir entered the show the fans were definitely curious to know what he said 'Yes' to the show and finally the actor revealed the reason for doing Bigg Boss OTT Season 3.
