On being part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, Gashmeet said, “I would say mentally and emotionally my fiction show Gunaah helped me to come out of the difficult phase. I was already stabilised because of that show because I was doing what I love the most and that is acting. I was coming back to acting with a good show. Khatron Ke Khiladi was an opportunity for me to comeback stronger physically also.”

He added, “When you are going through emotional and personal trauma, it automatically takes a toll on your physique and your body. You start stress eating and go out of shape so all that happened with me. Khatron was that big motivation for me ke Mujhe Yahan par jaana hai. I was like I’m going to do this show once in my lifetime and I didn’t want to take the opportunity lightly. It was added motivation for me. What happens once your physique gives up and your body is totally out of shape to come out of it and start the transformation journey all over again is very difficult. Because of Khatron I got myself back into shape completely. Now it is very easy and I’ve to just maintain myself. Gunaah gave me emotional recovery but for physical recovery I had to take help from Khatron.”
