MUMBAI: Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan has tickled the audience’s funny bones for over five years now. The show, which is produced under the Edit II banner, features Yogesh Tripathi, Geetanjali Mishra, Himani Shivpuri, Sanjay Chaudhary, and Gazal Sood, to name a few.
The commissioner is responsible for organizing a function on August 15th and decides to arrange a classical dancer because the minister likes classical dance. However, instead of arranging a classical dancer, he brings a courtesan. After seeing her performance, Happu confirms her for the event.
At home, Rajesh, Malaika, and Chamchi show their old Kathak prize certificates and motivate her to dance again. She practices in the garden, and the commissioner sees her and confirms her for the program. When Rajesh happily tells Happu, he asks him to cancel the courtesan, but the courtesan refuses and starts blackmailing them. Happu tries to convince the commissioner, but he doesn’t listen. Then he asks Rajesh to convince her, but she doesn’t agree and continues her practice. Amma teases her, and in jealousy, curses her to get injured and not be able to dance.
This curse comes true when Rajesh gets hurt from a banana peel, and the commissioner gives Happu an ultimatum to fix Rajesh quickly, or he will lose his job. Happu starts taking care of Rajesh. The courtesan threatens to come to their home, and Bimlesh catches her red-handed. Amma scolds the courtesan and reveals the curse she gave, so Amma starts forgetting things and being nice.
Beni tricks the courtesan into deleting videos. Happu gets an idea from Malaika's advice and performs a classical dance in a girl’s outfit at the function, which everyone likes. But when his wig falls off, people criticize him for performing like this as a man. Chamchi supports him, saying that they should appreciate his talent and not be bothered by the appearance. Even the minister appreciates Happu for his performance.
