Seerat Kapoor's portrayal of Mannat in Rabb Se Hai Dua is a perfect example of this dynamic evolution. Seerat Kapoor’s character, Mannat, started her journey in Rabb Se Hai Dua as a caring and devoted sister. Her life revolved around her sister, Ibaadat (Yesha Rughani), and their strong bond. However, after the introduction of Subhaan (Dheeraj Dhoopar), the man both the sisters fall in love with, marked a significant turning point in Mannat’s story. The once supportive sister slowly gets consumed by jealousy and unrequited love. This emotional turmoil propels her to a darker path, where she starts plotting against the only sister she once adored. Mannat’s transformation from a caring sibling to a manipulative antagonist has been a dramatic and engaging character arc.
Seerat said, “Portraying Mannat has been an incredible journey. Her evolution from a loving sister to a character filled with jealousy and deceit has been challenging yet immensely rewarding. It is difficult to portray her on-screen every day because she is opposite of me. But at the same time, it is fascinating to delve into the complexities of her cynical emotions. Often, I would sit with my director, who would guide me through Mannat's intricate layers, offering insights into her motivations and helping me tap into her darker side. His guidance has been instrumental in shaping my portrayal. This role has pushed me to explore different facets of my acting abilities, and I am grateful for the opportunity to bring such a multi-dimensional character to life.”
While Seerat is leaving no stone unturned to be her best as Mannat, currently, in the show’s track, her schemes are becoming increasingly intricate as she strives to win Subhaan's love at any cost and defame Ibaadat in front of everyone. The tension between Mannat and Ibaadat has reached new heights, with Mannat’s deceptive tactics threatening to unravel their once-strong bond.
