MUMBAI: In Hyderabad, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala just got engaged. A few days after the pair announced their engagement, a section of internet users asked the actor to remove old photos he had taken with his famous ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu from the Internet.
Naga Chaitanya almost removed all of his Instagram pictures including Samantha following the announcement of his engagement to the Made in Heaven star. However, the only photo of Samantha that exists on Naga Chaitanya's Instagram account is a 2018 photo of the actors standing next to a race car.
The image has a caption, "Throwback...Mrs and the girlfriend." Another photo of them together happens to be a poster from the film Majili, in which they co-starred.
An Instagram user commented on Naga Chaitanya's post, "Delete it already." Another one added, "Nothing is wrong to have this pic in your feed but caption? Seriously." Similar thoughts echoed in the comments section, "Chay plz remove that pic, you getting engaged with another girl," read a third comment. "Please delete this post," read another.
The co-stars of Majili Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, tied the knot in 2017. In a joint statement posted on social media in October 2021, the celebrities declared their breakup.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was questioned if she and Naga Chaitanya are amicable during her guest appearance on Karan Johar's chat program Koffee With Karan 7 in 2022. She responded, "You mean if you put us both in a room, you'd have to hide sharp objects? Yes, as of now but it maybe sometime in the future."
