During an interview with a well-known news source, Manoj Bajpayee was questioned concerning his very first salary. On the show, the actor was in the kitchen of chef Ranveer Brar's restaurant making aalo bhujiya when he promptly responded to the question by saying, “It was Rs 50,000 for Bandit Queen. After six years, I did a film, I am not going to name it, but I got Rs 1,50,000.”

Since making his film debut in the 1990s, the actor has grown significantly throughout the years. Manoj Bajpayee shot to fame as a criminal in 1998 after he appeared in Ram Gopal Varma's Satya. Bajpayee had to overcome a difficult path to the top to become well-liked, though.

Speaking about his pay, Bajpayee had earlier revealed how the producer of a TV show he had landed, which was helmed by Anubhav Sinha, believed that he didn't deserve to be paid the full Rs 4,000 per day because he was a silent role with no dialogue. As a result, his salary was cut in half. The actor remembered how, then, they had to wait in a queue to get paid Rs 100, a substantial sum for transportation after the production.

When the producer went to pick up his money after four months, however, he became confused as to why he was receiving Rs 4,000. “I said you people only fixed it. He said I should only get Rs 2,000. I asked why? He said that payment is for dialogues, where are your dialogues? Anubhav never told me you have no dialogues,” he had said in an interview with the popular news portal.
