Sonam Khan remembers her last conversation with Divya Bharti; Says, ‘Wo aaj zinda hoti toh top par hoti’

MUMBAI: Senior performer Sonam Khan has frequently paid tribute to the late actress Divya Bharti. Bharti was once hailed by Khan as a wonderful talent with a promising future. Khan often draws attention to Bharti's lively on-screen persona and her capacity to lend her parts an air of genuine charm in her thoughts. Khan recognizes Bharti's great influence on the cinema business and the loss left by her premature death, despite the fact that her career and life were sadly cut short.

The Vishwatma actress spoke fondly of Divya saying, ““She was a very nice girl. Agar wo aaj zinda hoti toh top par hoti. It’s upsetting, accident jo unka hua, nahi hona chahiye tha, lekin ab kya kar sakte hain.”

The Ajooba actor went on to say that Bharti was her ex husband Rajiv Rai's first choice to play the lead role in his action picture Mohra. But due to her tragic passing, Raveena Tandon took over the role. In significant roles in the movie were also played by Naseeruddin Shah, Suniel Shetty, and Akshay Kumar.

Sonam recalled, “Wo actually jinse maine shaadi ki thi, Rajeev Rai ji, unhone unko Mohra ke liye sign kiya tha. To shooting bhi ho chuki thi uss picture ki. Jab unka dehant hua, main apne bete ke saath kuch aath mahine pregnant thi. Unka shayad April mein dehant hua, if I’m not mistaken, aur May mein mera bachcha paida hua hai. Unke dehant se kuch din pehle hi maine unse baat ki thi.”

Divya Bharti allegedly fell from her 5th floor apartment balcony in Versova. Recalling her last conversation with Divya, Sonam said, “Toh mujhe kehti thi ki chaand ki taraf dekho, bahut khoobsurat bachcha paida hoga tumhari tarah. Wo ek actress thi jinke saath meri bahut bani hai aur wo jahan bhi ho, khush rahe. Aur kya keh sakti hoon main?”

Recently, Sonam shared two photos on her Instagram profile, one with Sridevi and one with Divya Bharti writing, “Some friendships are not to be mentioned.
