MUMBAI: Ravi Teja recently had surgery after ignoring the muscle tear in his right hand that he suffered during filming for the project, which is tentatively titled RT75. The actor reportedly underwent surgery after continuing with the RT75 filming despite the injuries. Doctors have now recommended that the actor stay in bed completely for six weeks. The actor's representative confirmed the news on his social media accounts.
The actor's representative released a statement that read, “Mass Maharaja #Raviteja recently sustained a muscle tear in his right hand during the filming of #RT75. Despite the injury, he continued to shoot, which unfortunately led to further aggravation. Yesterday, He underwent a successful surgery at Yashoda Hospitals and as per medical advice, he has been prescribed six weeks of bed rest to ensure a complete recovery.”
Recently, the 56-year-old actor appeared in Mr. Bachchan, directed by Harish Shankar, which also starred Jagapathi Babu and Bhagyashri Borse. On Independence Day, the film clashed with Puri Jagannadh's Double iSmart. Both the films tanked at the box office.
Mr. Bachchan is the Telugu version of the 2018 movie Raid, which starred Ajay Devgn. The story's commercial adaptation by Harish did not sit well with the audience.
The 75th project that Ravi Teja is working on has not yet been given a title. The movie brings Ravi and Sreeleela, who costarred in Dhamaka in 2022, back together for a second time. The director of the film is Bhanu Bogavarupu.
The last film that Sreeleela appeared in was Trivikram Srinivas's Guntur Kaaram, and released in theatres this year during Sankranthi. Their next movie, which would be released during Sankranthi in the following year, was launched with a pooja ceremony in June of this year. The movie is being produced by Sai Soujanya's Fortune Four Cinemas and Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainment.
