MUMBAI: It was shocking to find out that Sudhanshu Pandey was leaving Anupamaa. Pandey announced his exit from the show on Instagram Live on August 28, 2024. It is still unknown what the "real" reason was for his sudden departure. In the midst of this, the popular news portal spoke with a source on the set who clarified whether or not the production company intends to get a "new" Vanraj.

In Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa and Directors Kut Productions (DKP), Sudhanshu portrays the lead character, Vanraj Shah. As previously reported, the cast has been firmly instructed not to discuss Pandey's exit with the media.
According to the source, DKP or Rajan Sir do not currently have any plans to get a new Vanraj. According to the source, "Aisi ab takk koi baat nahi huee hai. They will probably show the character ending. Replace karenge aisi charcha bhi nahi huee hai. (There have been no talks about replacing Sudhanshu in the days he has left. They will probably end his character.)"
The source notices how Sudhanshu received very few dialogues during the last few days and sequence. When questioned about Rajan Shahi's or DKP's next plan of action, a source says, "Exit ke bare mei toh Sudhanshu ke jane ke baad buss inform kiya tha cast ko. Sach kahu toh, there is a huge chance that they will end the character or leave it the way it is, in a midway, or they will show that Vanraj has gone somewhere. They haven't planned the ahead sequence surrounding Vanraj. If they later make changes to it, that I can't comment."
It was previously reported that Rajan Shahi and Sudhanshu Pandey had unfollowed each other on social media. Even though there have been many rumors circulating about Pandey's next project, it's not a given that the makers will bring a new Vanraj. It will be intriguing to see how the makers of the show decide to wrap up Vanraj's story.
