MUMBAI : On Wednesday morning, Anushka Sharma returned in style to India and went to a function in Mumbai that evening. The star talked candidly about her family life during the event, revealing that she and her husband, cricket player Virat Kohli, personally cook meals for their kids, Vamika and Akaay.

She talked about her dedication to keeping their children in a routine and emphasized the importance of passing down family recipes to the next generation.

During the event, Anushka spoke, “We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our moms made at home, then we won’t be passing these recipes on to our kids. So, sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to replicate the way our mothers did. I cheat a little by calling my mom to ask for recipes, but it’s so important. It’s like you’re passing on something valuable to your children.”

She also shared how she maintains a routine for her children, even with the family’s frequent travels. “I am very particular about routine. We travel a lot as a family, and my kids experience many changes in their lives. So, by creating a routine for them, I am giving them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed, no matter where we are, we eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. It helps them regulate themselves much better,” she explained.

This time, Anushka went back to India without Virat Kohli or her kids. This is her second trip to India after their son, Akaay, was born. She had already traveled to India for the May IPL.

Rumour has it that Anushka and Virat are moving to the UK, as they are frequently spotted walking around London's streets. Anushka hasn't been in a film since Zero (2018), but Chakda Xpress, a sports biography about cricket player Jhulan Goswami, is anticipated to be her comeback film. Fans are excitedly awaiting Chakda Xpress's release date, as filming recently completed.
