MUMBAI: As we celebrate Teachers' Day on September 5th, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the mentors and guides who have shaped our lives and careers. For Manmohan Tiwari, a versatile actor currently gracing our screens in "Gehna: Zevar Ya Zanjeer" and "Mishri," the journey through the entertainment industry has been profoundly influenced by several key figures who have acted as his friends, philosophers, and guides.

Manmohan's career trajectory is a testament to the importance of mentorship in the competitive world of showbiz. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, “There are so many people to thank on Teachers' Day. From my childhood to my journey in Mumbai, I have had many mentors. In school, I realized that the first teachers are your parents. The education and faith we received from them are still benefiting me today in Mumbai. And that confidence, I don't think anyone in Mumbai gave me that; I brought it with me from Rishikesh. So, my first mentors are my parents and school.”

His journey began with the foundational support of his parents, who instilled in him the values and confidence that carried him through the challenging phases of his career. As he embarked on his acting career, he found pivotal guidance in various figures. One such mentor was Arvind Gaur, the director of the Asmita Theatre Group in Delhi. Tiwari recalls, “When I came to Delhi, there was Asmita Theatre Group led by Arvind Gaur sir, who was a mentor for us as the director of the theatre group. Many people, like Kangana Ranaut and Deepak Dobriyal, came from there and are doing great work. So, he was my mentor.”

Moving to Mumbai, he continued to gather wisdom from seasoned professionals. He highlights his experiences with actors like Mohan Joshi and Ram Kapoor, saying, “I learned a lot by watching Ram Kapoor sir. My first appearance was in 'Rakhi Ka Swayamwar (Reality Show)' and after that, I kept moving forward.” He also values his collaborations with Samta Sagar and Ravi Mahashabde from the serial "Gudiya Hamari Sab Pe Bhari," acknowledging their significant influence on his craft.

His gratitude extends beyond the professional realm. He emphasizes the crucial role of his wife, Sneha Tiwari, in his life. “The greatest mentor, partner, and motivation in my life is my wife, Sneha Tiwari. I would give her all the credit, along with my parents,” he affirms.

For Manmohan, having a guide in the industry is invaluable. Each mentor, be it from his early days in Delhi or his experiences in Mumbai, has contributed to his growth and success. His journey underscores a powerful lesson: while talent and ambition are essential, the guidance and support from mentors can make a significant difference.
