MUMBAI: As Ganesh Chaturthi arrives, the grand celebrations take over the streets of Mumbai with Bappa showering his blessings. Our favorite celebrities are seen celebrating the festival with enthusiasm, including Siddhant Issar from Star Bharat’s Shaitani Rasmein. Siddhant shares his excitement along with childhood memories of Ganesh Chaturthi and how his entry into the industry felt like a blessing from Lord Ganesh.
On this special occasion, Siddhant Issar recalls, "I was blessed by Ganesh Ji. The very first time I faced the camera, I was just 5 years old, playing Ganpati Bappa. The icing on the cake was that Hema Malini Ji played my mother, Maa Parvati. My father directed a TV show for DD called Jai Mata Ki, where Hema Malini Mam portrayed all the goddesses. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was so excited. They always say, 'Shubh Kaam ka Aarambh Ganesh Puja Se Karo.' Well, my journey with acting began with Ganesh Ji, so I must be specially blessed. I still remember eating so many modaks and pedas on set."
He adds, "I was a very chubby kid! Back then, prosthetics weren't as advanced, and the getup was tough and suffocating, especially for a child, but my energy and excitement kept me going. Even today, Chaturthi holds a special place in my heart. Being born and raised in Mumbai, I've danced on the streets during visarjan all my life. Despite my busy shooting schedules now, I'd love to experience that again. The festival, the energy, and the connection with Ganesh Ji remain very close to me."
