Vikas Sethi once revealed he suffered from Clinical depression; Said, ‘Friends distanced themselves…’

MUMBAI: The terrible death of Vikas Sethi has shocked the entertainment world to its core. On September 8, the actor, who was well-known for his parts in films such as "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum," "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi," and others, went away from a heart attack. Vikas had previously discussed his battle with clinical depression and the lack of "permanent friends" in the entertainment business in an interview.

Speaking of his struggles with Depression, Vikas had previously said, “'It was a tough and frustrating phase. It wasn’t just about being out of work, but I was also facing difficulties on the personal front. I was suffering monetarily and was clinically depressed.”

He added, “Yes, I have made mistakes, but isn’t that human? If I had known that those mistakes would cost me my career, I would have avoided them. But now, I am positive and in a happy space. I am also getting a good response from people.”

Speaking of losing friends, Vikas added, “Friends, who would stand outside my home, requesting me to party with them, distanced themselves when I wasn’t doing anything.”

Jhanvi, Vikas's wife, had previously spoken to the PTI about his passing and disclosed that the actor was ill on the day of his death. She claims that in addition to having loose motions, the actor was throwing up. But he refused to go to the doctor when she begged him to. That same night, Vikas experienced a heart arrest and died.
