Well, there are some people who have a different opinion and netizens have pointed out to showing racism in a world which is progressing to better things.

Palak Jain shares, “The actress playing Deepika isn’t even dark skinned and oh my god, in the start of the show her foundation was all over the place. The make-up done is very shabby.”

Mayank Sharma mentions, “ It is so disrespectful to people who are actually dark skinned. We are so obsessed with fairer shade that even our effort to diversify is misrepresented with a brown face.”

Meher Sangle adds, “When they need to cast someone with a more tan skin, they just use a naturally fair actress and put a darker shade foundation on her. It's so hurtful and misrepresented for the people of India.”

Nidhi Behl says, “Indian people are more on the browner shade and still we see all the actors/actresses with too much fair skin like why can't they diversify for once and use someone with the natural skin colour.”

Nidhi Shah expresses, “It is humiliating to see such behaviour being represented on dark skinned people. Is it necessary to promote racism in television shows?” (Also Read:Anupamaa: Anuj and Anupamaa finally get a beautiful LOVE STORY which they deserve - AUDIENCE VERDICT)
