A heartfelt musical tribute to the late legend KK by Guru Randhawa, Sachin – Jigar, Sachet – Parampara at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa launch event

MUMBAI: With Sa Re Ga Ma Pa returning this year, India’s iconic singing reality show continues its legacy of launching emerging talent for nearly three decades. Bringing fresh new voices and mentors who add a unique flavour to the show – Nayi Aawaaz, Naye Andaaz – an exquisite launch event was recently held in Mumbai. Ahead of the premiere on 14th September 2024, airing Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm, mentors Guru Randhawa, Sachin-Jigar, and Sachet-Parampara, along with host Vipul Roy, offered a sneak peek into the new season and what viewers can expect from this exciting edition.

Guru Randhawa, Sachin-Jigar, and Sachet-Parampara captivated the audience with their electrifying and soulful performances, but it was one heartfelt gesture that truly stole the show. After their individual performances, the five mentors came together for a jam session, performing some of their biggest hits. However, when the theme shifted to songs about brotherhood and friendship, they paused to honor a legend dear to their hearts — the late singer KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath). In a touching tribute, they expressed their deep respect and admiration for KK’s lasting impact on Indian music, making this moment the emotional highlight of the event.

Jigar Saraiya said on stage, “As we are talking about friendship and brotherhood, I feel we cannot end without doing this. A legend is no longer with us and since this is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s launch, a singing reality show, we wanted to say a big thank you to KK for his music. This is going to be a tribute to KK.”

All five mentors went on to sing KK’s hit song – Yaaron – in unison, leaving everyone emotional and reminiscing the late singer’s contribution to Indian music. While the heartwarming tribute won over everyone’s hearts, the special sneak peek of Birla Opus Paints Sa Re Ga Ma Pa also promised to mesmerize viewers with powerful renditions of popular songs and electrifying performances in every episode. And with contestants being closely mentored by their gurus this time around, audiences can expect moments of sheer musical magic as the mentors push their protégés toward excellence.
