MUMBAI : As the excitement for man of masses NTR Jr's 'Devara: Part 1' reaches a boiling point, in a tide-turning event, blockbuster filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga moderated a riveting panel discussion about it. The star-studded cast, including NTR Jr, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and director Koratala Siva, sailed through a sea of revelations, leaving the audience stunned and thirsting for more.
As the panelists fished out details, it became clear that 'Devara: Part 1' is one of the biggest catches in the legion of pan-India cinema. This epic action saga, set to make a splash in IMAX, promising to plunge viewers into a mythical coastal world where water reigns supreme and villagers worship weapons.
Its story revolves around Devara (NTR Jr) navigating treacherous waters to shield his people from harm. However, not all is smooth sailing - unbeknownst to our hero, Bhaira's (Saif Ali Khan) conspiracy lurks beneath the surface like a deadly undertow.
Koratala Siva, known for his mega vision, praised production designer Sabu Cyril for creating a world from scratch with custom-built boats. This attention to detail extended to the celestial realm, with full moon shots captured on actual full moon nights - talk about shooting for the sky!
The action sequences, shot partly in South Goa, promise to be the film's high tide. With stunt coordinators Kenny Bates, Peter Miles, and Solomon at the helm, these scenes are set to raise the bar for action extravaganzas.
'Devara: Part 1' is set for release on 27 September, 2024. The film is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, with presentation by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Alongside NTR Jr. and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features Saif Ali Khan in a key role.
