MUMBAI: &TV show Atal narrates the untold childhood stories of the late Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The cultural values instilled into him by his family, his discomfort with the unfair treatment under British rule, and his stand against injustice forms the crux of the show. While the serial had a run time of 10 months, it has now taken a leap and new faces have stepped into the characters to play the grown up versions. (Also Read: EXCLUSIVE! Aayudh Bhanushali, known for his impressive TV performances, will step into the pivotal role of 12-year-old Atal Bihari Vajpayee. After his acclaimed roles in Ek Mahanayak – Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Doosri Maa, Aayudh are now poised to portray this iconic character.
Actress Anurekha Bhagat also plays a pivotal role in the show. She enacts the role of Saraswati Bihari Vajpayee, wife of Awadh Bihari Vajpayee, the eldest brother of Atal.
Earlier seen in MTV Nishedh season 2 and Farzi on Amazon Prime, TellyChakkar got in touch with Anurekha to know more about how challenging she found her role to be!
Anurekha shared, “This is a negative character and it is for the first time that I am doing this so it was definitely challenging. Doing positive roles is much simpler. Negative roles are a little complex and it is a little tricky too. I bonded with Aayudh quite well.
