MUMBAI : Jigra became the talk of the town right after its announcement. Alia Bhatt surely has fans in millions and Vedang Raina also won hearts after his performance in the Netflix release ‘The Archies’ which was his debut movie, directed by Zoya Akhtar.

While Vedang Raina is coming out fresh, he has already created a buzz for himself. The makers of Jigra made sure to keep up the hype by updating fans and right when Vedang and Alia were seen after the wrap-up, the audience were hooked on to look forward to the movie.

Now the Vasan Bala directorial has already released and it is earning a lot of praises from the audience for various reasons, be it the story, the execution, the performance or the songs. Surely Vedang Raina and Alia Bhatt have won the audience over once again.
While the audience is giving out their reviews and responses for the movie, let’s check out how the movie has been performing at the box office. On its first day, the movie opened up with Rs 4.25 Cr while making Rs 7.45 Cr globally.
On day 10, the movie collected around Rs 2 Cr. Meanwhile, it collected around Rs 44.75 cr globally. Surely the first Monday was extremely tough for this Alia Bhatt starrer but the numbers went further down after that. The movie did better on weekends.
When talking about the story of the movie, it’s about a sister (played by Alia Bhatt) who goes through excruciating pain and crosses all boundaries to free her brother (played by Vedang Raina). The movie is directed by Vasan Bala.
