In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Raj & DK were asked about why they were not a part of Stree 2 and so the duo opened up about it.

The duo said, “See it’s nothing to long for because we created it and it has taken its path, it has taken its life and it’s great so tomorrow let’s say tomorrow we end Family Man and move on and 5 years later Amazon resurrects it and we don’t do it and somebody does it and it’s become even bigger or whatever or just loved as much, we will be happy with it because it’s our baby, right?... but one more thing, it’s good that something so original and so natural to us as a storyline as Stree and all those movies, they have that potential to be huge so that was already something that we knew for Stree 1. Stree 1 itself we did not expect it to do more than very little amount at the box office but that became huge. We knew that these are stories. If we stick to our concern and make it the way we want it, have the potential to be high-concept content, irrespective of the star power because when we came into the industry, stars were unreachable we could not get their number, so you have to figure out where you are doubling down, double down on your writing, so that’s all we did. The actors are coming to work with us now but it’s still the same writing. Earlier, we did with whoever was there at that point. I’m just glad that these things teaches us that the most important thing to focus on is writing and that a film or a series as big as it can possibly can be.”
