MUMBAI: Sony TV's show Shrimad Ramayan was launched this year and is being loved by the audiences.

The makers have done complete justice to this epic mythological series.

Even the actors are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that they give their best performance.

Actor Sanjay Reu is one of them who is playing a very important role of Lord Ram in the show.

Sanjay has nailed this character and is being widely appreciated for his performance.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Sanjay spoke about his role in the show and much more.

Are you worried about how the viewers would perceive you as Lord Ram on-screen?

As I mentioned before in my interviews, I felt a bit nervous because portraying Shri Ram is a huge responsibility, especially in today’s world. When you’re playing Shri Ram, Maryada Purushottam, it’s natural to wonder how people will perceive you and whether they’ll accept you in this role. However, I believe this show has been created with genuine honesty and dedication, and my role as an actor is just one part of that. The way we've been presented on the show is, I think, the reason I’ve received acceptance as Shri Ram and the love from viewers. This is truly a team effort, and it’s the honesty and dedication behind this show that has led to people accepting me as Shri Ram.

When you do a non-fictional show, there is a scope to improvise but here there isn't. How challenging is that for you?

In shows like this, where I'm playing Lord Ram, there's no room for improvisation, which makes the role even more challenging. Not being able to improvise, even if I want to, becomes it's kind of challenge. Despite these challenges, I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to bring this character to life. One of the biggest challenges in portraying Lord Ram is embodying his calm, composed, and compassionate nature. Coming to a set every day and consistently maintaining that calmness and positivity is, I believe, the greatest challenge in playing Lord Ram.

The show also has many other actors like Sanjay Reu, Basant Bhat, Nikitin Dheer, Nirbhay Wadhwa, Aarav Chowdhary, Shilpa Saklani and many more.

Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for all the latest updates.
