MUMBAI: The episode starts with Mahadev forewarning that something wrong is going to happen because of Kartikeya’s actions. Kartikeya Nahusha and Karindasur’s fight and thinks Nahusha may defeat Karindasur, which thinks should not happen. When Karindasur attacks Nahusha, Nahusha asks Kartikeya to hand him over a weapon. Kartikeya is in dilemma whether to had over weapon to Nahusha or not; while his soul asks him to go give, his mind asks him not to as he will lose a chance to become devraj else. Mahadev observes his dilemma and instructs him to provide the weapon to Nahusha, emphasizing that Kartikeya should not dishonor his upbringing, but Kartikeya remains silent.
As Nahusha is killed by Karindasur, Ashokasundari arrives and is devastated, seeing her husband’s lifeless body. Her cries reach Devi Parvati who rushes to her side with Narayan and Ganesh. Ashokasundari mourns that she has become a widow. Devi Parvati gets angry and vows to kill Karindasur for causing a grief to her daughter. Karindasur taunts her that she won’t be able to catch him, Devi Parvati traps him with a shield and prepares to kill him. Before she can strike, Mahadev intervenes and reveals that Kartikeya is responsible for Nahusha’s death. Parvati is shocked to hear that. Lord Shiv accuses Kartikeya of intentionally withholding the weapon from Nahusha to further his own ambitions of becoming devraj. Kartikeya does not deny the accusation. Mahadev condemns Kartikeya’s selfishness, saying that Nahusha’s death was a result of his actions. He tells Devi Parvati to punish Kartikeya if she seeks justice for Ashok Sundari’s loss.

A heartbroken Ashokasundari pleads Shiv Shakti to save Nahusha, but Mahadev says that he cannot go against destiny. He tells Devi Parvati that the real culprit is Kartikeya, and if she wishes to avenge Ashokasundari, she should punish him.
