MUMBAI : Directed by Kanu Behl and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP, Despatch also stars Shahana Goswami, Arrchita Agarwaal and Ritu Parna Sen
National, 21st November 2024: ZEE5, India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform and a multilingual storyteller, unveiled the teaser of its upcoming original movie Despatch at the 55th International Film Festival of India, Goa. The whole cast led by Manoj Bajpayee and supported by Shahana Goswami and Arrchita Agarwaal were present for the special screening at the prestigious IFFI. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and directed by Kanu Behl, the crime investigative drama is set to premiere on 13th December, exclusively on ZEE5 and marks the fifth original collaboration between 3 time National award winner, Manoj Bajpayee and ZEE5, post the success of Dial 100, Silence.. Can You Hear It?, Silence 2 and Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.
Despatch, a powerful exploration of media ethics is a crime drama based on the complex challenges of investigative journalism. The film revolves around the life of an investigative journalist Joy (played by Manoj Bajpayee) as he navigates the murky waters of media corruption, power struggles, and personal dilemmas while chasing a high-stakes story. But how far will he go to unearth the scam that shook the nation? With Despatch, Manoj Bajpayee delivers yet another stellar performance in his illustrious career and this time, he was following the lead of indie director, Kanu Behl who has delivered critically acclaimed films like Titlie and Aligarh.
