MUMBAI: With a lot of announcements, one that garnered a lot of attention was the announcement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ which is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna. The movie was initially announced to be released on 3rd May but the release date got postponed and the movie finally released on 15th November.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The movie announcement made a wave amongst the audience. Mainly the curiosity about this movie was because of the casting and the story of the movie.

The makers released the much-awaited teaser and trailer in which we got to see how the movie is based on what took place in Sabarmati Express on 27 Feb 2002. Audience were curious to see what the story holds in store and also, Vikrant Massey fans are excited.
Now that the movie has finally released, fans are more than happy with everything that the movie has to offer. Yes, it was a difficult task for the team to pull of such a movie as it got into some controversies but as the movie released the other day, it has given a good response to the people who were doubtful about it.
Be it performances, be it the perspective of media, or be it the storyline which reveals the truth hidden since 22 years now, the movie has satisfied the audience with all of it. Let’s take a look at the box office report of the movie.
On its first day, the movie opened up with Rs 1.25 Cr while the worldwide collection is Rs 1.5 Cr.
On day 12, the movie collected around Rs 0.9 Cr. Meanwhile, it collected Rs 20.4 Cr in India net and 24.4 cr globally. Surely the numbers have dipped but things might seem better on weekends. While the numbers have stable since a few days, let's see how it goes ahead.
