Munawar Faruqui at Cancer Awareness Marathon with Philanthropy and Inspiration

MUMBAI: Comedian, musician, and social crusader Munawar Faruqui took center stage at the Memorial Cancer Awareness Marathon called Run for me Half Marathon, leaving an impressionable mark with his heartfelt gestures and powerful message. Sharing the spotlight with Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan and activist Swara Bhasker, Munawar turned the event into more than just a race it became a platform for hope, empowerment, and change.  

Munawar’s philanthropic spirit shone brightly as he donated clothes, financial help and some Medical Exuipments to cancer patients, extending warmth and care to those in need. He also gifted law books to Rizvi College students, reinforcing the importance of education and empowerment for the next generation. "Whenever anything is neede for law, for reference here are some law books for your college because it’s important to save them just like the law of our country," he quipped, delivering his trademark wit alongside a meaningful message.  

The crowd erupted with chants of "Dongri, Dongri," a nod to Munawar’s roots, as he took the stage. Addressing the audience, he shared a poignant call to action “This one’s for all the boys out there make sure the women around you feel safe, and let’s all spread awareness.” His message was met with thunderous applause, underscoring the emotional connection he fostered with the audience.  

Adding his unique flair, Munawar recited one of his iconic shayaris, leaving the crowd inspired and deeply moved. His words, combined with his actions, resonated with attendees, urging them to actively contribute to meaningful causes.  

The event also marked the unveiling of Rumi care & Help Yourself Foundation  Mobile App & Emergency Card for Women Safety a groundbreaking initiative designed to enhance women’s safety. Yet it was Munawar’s heartfelt philanthropy and powerful advocacy that truly became the highlight of the day.  

With his compassionate gestures, stirring words, and undeniable charisma, Munawar Faruqui once again proved why he’s more than just an entertainer—he’s a voice for change and a beacon of hope.
