Salman hasn’t had an EID release for a very long time and now finally in 2025 he will be releasing one of his most anticipated movies ‘Sikandar’ directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
Today marks the 59th birthday of the super star and the birthday wishes have begun to pour in for the actor from the film industry and fans.
Now many know that there were quite some movies that were offered to Salman which became huge hits but the actor refused the movies for some or the other reasons.
Here we bring you the list of movie that were rejected by Salman Khan:
1. Baazigar
This film, directed by Abbas Mustan, was originally offered to Salman Khan, but the actor suggested making some changes to the script to add a mother angle to the plot and then return, but things changed after the script was changed, and the film was offered to Shah Rukh Khan, and the director never returned to Salman with it. Salman Khan narrated this as a guest on the Kapil Sharma Show.
2. Josh
Josh starring Shah Rukh Khan and Sharad Kappor was initially offered to Salman Khan ( The character of Sharad) but the actor declined the movie as he didn’t want to play a grey character and hence it was then offered to Sharad Kapoor.
3. Kal Ho Naa Ho ( Saif’s Role)
Karan Johar’s movie Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priety Zinta and Saif Ali Khan was initially offered to Salman Khan ( Saif’s role) but then the actor declined it because of some date issues.
4. Ghajini
Ghajini starring Aamir Khan was initally offered to Salman Khan but the actor rejected the offer as he couldn’t connect to the role and hence later it was offered to Aamir Khan. The movie was directed by A.R. Murugadoss and finally the actor will be working with him in his upcoming movie Sikandar.
5. Chak De India
Chak De India starring Shah Rukh Khan was offered to Salman Khan first but the actor rejected the offer as he couldn’t see himself playing a coach and later on Shah Rukh Khan was signed for the movie.
6. Talaash
Talaash starring Aamir Khan earlier was offered to Salman Khan but the actor refused the movie as he had certain date issues and at the end Aamir was casted in the movie.
Well, it would have been interesting to see Salman Khan would have essayed these characters.
