Advait Pratap on being part of Dil Ko Rafu Karr Lein: The show brings a refreshing simplicity

Advait Pratap

MUMBAI: Actor Advait Pratap, who was formerly known as Lokesh, is part of the limited series Dil Ko Rafu Karr Lein, by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. The actor says that the show is sure to be loved as it would remind viewers of Pakistani content.

“The show brings a refreshing simplicity, rich emotions, and a strong focus on relationships much like the Pakistani shows admired for their depth and elegance. Rafu beautifully blends high-quality production with heartfelt emotions…Pakistani dramas are known for their subtle yet powerful narratives, authentic characters, and elegant visuals that resonate deeply with viewers, and Rafu brings a similar vibe,” he says.

Talking about the format, and the storyline, he says, “I believe this format will resonate with audiences looking for quality content with a well-defined storyline. Unlike many traditional Indian TV shows that often lose their pace and audience interest over time, Rafu breaks the mould with its limited 25-episode format. This series offers a fresh and focused approach to storytelling where every episode is carefully crafted to drive the narrative forward.”

His character is nothing like what he has played before, says the actor, adding, “It’s a grey-shaded role, which means the character is layered, complex, and operates in the morally grey areas of life. What I found fascinating was exploring the unpredictability of the character—someone who isn’t completely black or white but somewhere in between just like real people.”

He says, “This role taught me that every ‘grey’ character has their reasons, their struggles, and a story to tell, and I hope the audience connects with that depth. It’s something new, exciting, and I’m thrilled by the buzz it’s creating already.”

Talking about the rest of the starcast and the producer-duo, the actor says, “The show has Ayesha Khan and Karan V Grover. Ayesha is such a fun-loving and vibrant person her energy on set is infectious and she always keeps the atmosphere light and cheerful. Karan, too, is super fun to work with, and we share a good bond. I feel truly fortunate to be working with producers like Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. I’m grateful to be a part of their vision and this remarkable show.”
