Hali is born and brought up in Delhi. She has a Bachelors degree in Mass Media. She started her acting career in 2007 with a small role in the in soap opera Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. But she was seen as a lead in Colors TV's show Chhal — Sheh Aur Maat.
