MUMBAI: Zee TV's popular show Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah has captivated audiences with its engaging and dramatic storyline. The show has skillfully depicted the numerous twists, turns, and tribulations in the life of young Jagriti (Asmi Deo), Harish (Yash Gera), and Geeta (Titiksha Shrivastava), keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Now, the story is set to take an exciting turn with a 12-year leap that promises to add even more intrigue, drama, and emotional depth. The narrative will now focus on a grown-up Jagriti, who has forgotten her traumatic past and been adopted by the affluent Bahl family. Raised in luxury, Jagriti (now played by Rachana Mistry) emerges as a strong, bold, and righteous young woman pursuing her college education in the city but her dream is to become an IPS officer.

Joining Rachana Mistry in this new chapter is Sagar Parekh as Akash and Vijayendra Kumeria as Suraj, the sons of the influential yet corrupt Kalikant Thakur. Adding to the drama is Pranjali Singh, who will portray Sapna, Jagriti’s childhood adversary. Together, these characters bring a complex web of emotions, conflicts, and relationships to life.

Rachana Mistry said, “Being part of Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah is an incredible opportunity. Jagriti is now a survivor who transforms her vulnerabilities into strength. Adopted into a privileged family, she aspires to become an IPS officer, and believes she has the power to help the world and fight for justice. What I admire most is her unshakable determination to rise above challenges and embrace her true potential. Her inspiring journey is a reminder that it’s possible to create a new beginning, and I hope her story resonates with viewers.”

Vijayendra Kumeria said, “As soon as I read the script, I was drawn to Suraj’s layered personality. On the surface, he’s brash and entitled, using his father’s political power to his advantage. But underneath, he’s a conflicted young man, desperate for his father’s approval and battling insecurities. His mix of arrogance and vulnerability makes him a fascinating character to portray. Suraj’s journey of self-discovery and his evolving dynamics with Jagriti are central to the story, and I’m excited to bring his complexities to life.”

Sagar Parekh said, “I believe portraying Akash on-screen is going to be very exciting for me. A sharp minded man with a pure heart who grew up under the shadow of power and corruption, he saw early on that to change the system, he would first have to master it. His duality, balancing idealism with pragmatism, makes him compelling. Bringing Akash’s inner conflict to life has been a privilege, and I’m eager for the audience to connect with his journey.”

Pranjali Singh said, “Playing a character as layered as Sapna is every actor's dream. She’s not just a pretty face—she’s fiercely ambitious, manipulative, and unapologetically self-serving. She is the reflection of Kalindi and is always calculating her next move to get what she wants. Her self-obsession, sharp intelligence, and hidden agenda makes her a character who keeps you guessing at every turn, and it’s going to be a thrill to bring her to life.”

With electrifying twists, shocking revelations, and a gripping storyline, Jagriti – Ek Nayi Subah is set to become even more captivating post-leap.

Don’t miss out on the drama as it unfolds starting 28th January, every day at 8:30 PM, only on Zee TV!
