MUMBAI: Sooraj Barjatya has given us some of the best movies in terms of family entertainment. We all know and love his movies like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Vivah to name a few.
Along with such family entertainers, the director/producer has also given us an iconic character ‘Prem’ who is extremely adorable. Sooraj Barjatya has become of the most recognized and loved filmmakers over the years but he is taking things one level up now by entering the OTT space and that too with a series.
That’s right! From 7th February, on SonyLIV, we will get to watch ‘Bada Naam Karenge’ a sweet and emotional family drama which will be directed by Palash Vaswani, who is mostly loved for his series Gullak. The series will star Ritik Ghanshani, Ayesha Kaduskar as leads along with other actors like Anjana Sukhani, Deepika Amin, Priyamwada Kant, Gyanendra Tripathi, Rajesh Tailang, Omm Dubey, Jameel Khan, Rajesh Jais, Kanwaljeet Singh, Saadhika Syal, Alka Amin, Chaitrali Gupte and Chitrali Lokesh.
In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, show-runner Sooraj Barjatya revealed some interesting things about his upcoming projects with Salman Khan and his bond with the actor.
Since Sooraj Barjatya has worked extensively with Salman Khan, he was asked about his bond with the actor, to which Sooraj Barjatya said, “Salman bhai as a person na, he’s a very normal person, this jo aap brat bolte hai this is image he projects because he knows this is the way he is connecting to the audience and he knows that this is the way people like to see him. If you look at him personally he’s a very normal person with the same fears, same scares but then, jaise main scene leke jata hu aur jab bhi jata hu unke paas toh mere scene humesha bohot straight hote hai, he will hear and he will just turn it. So what comes across is the turned image of my original, then it becomes what Salman Khan is. Toh i think that’s the persona, he knows that he is good at it for the audience.”
