Indian Idol 15: Mysmme Bosu’s Performance makes Karisma & Mohnish Bahl nostalgic!

Indian Idol

MUMBAI: This weekend, Indian Idol Season 15 on Sony Entertainment Television brings a melodious trip down memory lane with a special episode themed ‘Greatest Hits of Rajshri’. Celebrating the legacy of timeless classics, renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, along with actors Karisma Kapoor and Monish Bahl, graces the stage, sharing nostalgic moments and cherished memories. Adding to the excitement, Ritik Ghanshani and Ayesha Kaduskar join in to promote their upcoming web series, Bada Naam Karega. The evening becomes even more magical when the contestants delivers a mesmerizing rendition and making it a night to remember!

Mysmme Bosu from Guwahati will mesmerise everyone as she delivers her rendition of Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor from the film Hum Saath - Saath Hain. The soulful performance instantly transports Karisma Kapoor and Mohnish Bahl back in time to the days of filming this iconic song. Reminiscing about the unforgettable experience, director of the film, Sooraj Barjatya, deeply moved by the performance, shared, "You have done complete justice to the song. This song was undoubtedly made for Karisma, but I was really stressed about Mohnish. The choreography was initially designed for all three couples, and after Hum Aapke Hain Koun, it was now Mohnish’s turn to perform. Since the choreographer was from our team, we suggested excusing Mohnish from the routine because, due to his character, one of his hands always had to remain down. So, he stepped back, and Tabu took over most of the performance, but Karisma beautifully compensated for it with her effortless grace."

To this, Mohnish Bahl responded with a laugh, "The truth is, he was worried about me, but after seeing my dance, he started worrying about himself! That’s when he decided to keep one of my hands behind my back (laughs). After filming the title song of Hum Saath Saath Hain, I dedicated an hour every day to rehearsals with Jay Masterji, and somehow, we managed to pull it off. Lolo (Karisma), do you remember the ‘Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor’ shoot? We were sitting on an elephant in the scorching Rajasthan heat! Once we were up there, there was no coming down because elephants aren’t animals you can just make squat on command. We were stuck—no water, nothing, because of the height. At one point, I thought, ‘If I faint, I faint!’ Meanwhile, Karisma and Tabu were dancing away.”

Karisma Kapoor added, "It was quite a challenging situation. On screen, it looks like we’re having the time of our lives, and everything appears so grand and beautiful. But in reality, the elephant was constantly moving, and we had to sit up there for almost 2–3 hours!"

The vibrant energy on set, the grandeur of the choreography, and the sheer joy of bringing this song to life made it an unforgettable experience. Their heartfelt anecdotes and behind-the-scenes memories added an emotional and nostalgic touch to the evening, making it a truly magical celebration of Rajshri’s Greatest Hits!
