MUMBAI: Umar Riaz rose to prominence with his stint in Bigg Boss Season 15, where his game was widely appreciated by the audience and remained a topic of discussion throughout the season.

His camaraderie with Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash was much talked about, adding a compelling dynamic to the show.

However, his relentless clashes with Pratik Sehajpal kept viewers engrossed, as the two never saw eye to eye.

Despite the turbulence, Umar’s unwavering bond with Karan Kundrra stood strong from day one, and their friendship continued beyond the show’s conclusion.

To the dismay of his fans, Umar was eliminated just two weeks before the grand finale, a decision that sparked disappointment among his supporters.

Nevertheless, his journey in the reality show catapulted him to stardom, significantly expanding his fan base and opening doors to numerous opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Currently, the doctor-turned-actor is receiving multiple offers but is being selective about his projects, ensuring that each aligns with his vision and aspirations.

Recently, Umar took to social media to express his views on the current season of Roadies, voicing his discontent with the direction the show has taken. He remarked that Roadies has morphed into another version of Bigg Boss and dismissed it as 'utter nonsense.'

Expressing his disappointment, he wrote, ‘Roadies has turned into a Bigg Boss show, with grown-up judges bickering like children. The creatives of the show absolutely suck.’

Once celebrated for its raw and intense format, Roadies has undergone significant changes, incorporating the ‘gang leader’ concept, which has made the show feel increasingly scripted.

Umar appears to be strongly against this transformation, echoing the sentiments of many long-time fans who believe the show has strayed from its original essence.
