MUMBAI: The ardent fans of cricket can't wait for tonight's match as it is India VS Australia Semi Finals.
Cricket is like a religion in our country and fans who regularly watch it know how it feels to see our country competing against Australia and it would be exciting to see who will win.
Our celebrities have always been vocal about many topics like cricket, food, travel, fashion and much more.
As India is all set to play against Australia, popular actor Anuj Sachdeva spoke about his excitement for the same in an exclusive interview.
Talking about India VS Australia, Anuj shared, ''I am really excited about it and I am already watching the match. I was looking forward to it and today I had to go dubbing for the series which is soon going to be launched on Hotstar. But I cancelled it at the last minute as I was not feeling well. I was shooting last night and I came home in the morning. So, I won't be able to do the dubbing today. But obviously, nobody is coming for the dubbing because of this amazing match. It's very important. Last several matches have been won by Australia. But percentage and statistics wise, I feel India has the best chance to win today because the problem with Australia is that it does not give up till the end. It's going to be a tough chase. In fact, it was very tough for India and difficult for our team to chase it.''
He added, ''I am depending on Virat Kohli. He is my favourite and he can do that. Rohit Sharma gives a pretty hard time to the first few bowlers. So, it's kind of a 50-50 situation but I am still hoping India will win. If Virat Kohli plays well today, then we can win the match.''
Lastly, the recent hot topic of discussion is about Rohit Sharma who was fat shamed for his weight by Shama Mohamed, a spokesperson for the Congress, India’s main opposition party.
This comment had sparked outrage among the fans and even celebrities have shared their opinion on the same.
Sharing his views on this, Anuj said, ''I have not seen any leader who is fit enough to call somebody fat. I wish someday like me who has been into fitness has the authority to say this to anyone. I don't think that they have anything in their capacity in that profession to be fit.''
He added, ''As long as Rohit Sharma is playing well nobody cares how he is. End of the day, what counts is the experience. I have seen Virat Kohli who is the fittest of all the players, if he performs badly in any match, his comment section is filled with opinions which are not right. People are very emotional about it. It doesn't matter who is fat and who is not.
Talking about Rohit, he said, ''He is one of the best captains so far. I think he has done the best in the world cup. He played it so well. Even though people are calling him unfit, still he manages to play so well. It is commendable. Inspite of his weight, he is able to kick the ball out of the stadium so many times. So, it does not matter. He is one batsman who can face the ball anyhow.''
